Beach Party is where it’s at on Saturday night
Once the sun goes down its time to start the party following up after the Rotary Street Parade and the Mantra Magic Mile run, head out to the foreshore to watch the sunset and enjoy a cocktail and cool vibes at the Mama Africa pop-up bar.
The Airlie Beach Music stage will once again be right on the Airlie Beach foreshore and will feature some great original North Coast artists including Pete Allan and Mufassa on their “Built on Basics” tour, The Natural Culture and Airlie Beach local loopmaster Jake Mason.
Two of the Sunshine Coast’s favourite singer-songwriters – Pete Allan and Mufassa bring their East Coast “Built on Basics” tour to the Reef Festival stage as a call to pull back, slow down and dance! Pete Allan packages social topics into addictive coastal roots rock tunes. Known for his live looping, smooth vocals and guitar surfing antics Pete loves to share stories about well… enjoying life! Mufassa blends the realms of roots, ska and fresh reggae, crafting tasty melodies and smooth vocal harmonies. Described as having a calm and infectious nature, Mufassa is fearless in the pursuit of what sets his soul on fire.
The Natural Culture play an Australian blend of high energy funk, soul, reggae and world music set to entertain crowds across the country with their engaging performances. They are a fresh, grounded, earth conscious, sensitive and upfront group who deliver a powerful message through their musical diversity. The Natural Culture is inspired by musical legends and talents including Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, Sam Cooke, Paul Simon and others.
The ‘pop up’ bar will be open along with the ‘Eat Street’ food stalls to keep bellies full and whistles wet whilst dancing into the night.
