The Whitsunday Reef Festival was started in 2001 as a celebration of the region’s
wonderful natural assets. In 2008, it is a four day festival
consisting of a Comedy Gala, Evermore concert, Sand Sculpting competitions,
Street Parade, Reef Fire Beach Party, Frocktails fashion parade, movies at
the Airlie Beach Lagoon and much more.
The event is organised by a dedicated committee of volunteers representing
small business and organisations in the Whitsundays.

Jeff is the general manager at Coral Sea Resort and had the huge task of being the Chairperson in 2007. After managing the largest Reef Festival held (10 days), he is taking a break this year.
