Friday night's fireworks spectacular is bought to you by Airlie Beach Day & Night Chemist. The fireworks display will be best seen from the foreshore and Airlie Beach proper. Be sure to come early and stay late to make the most of a great night out.
Featuring on the stage before the fireworks, is the great local band "The Realm". Featuring members from "Peace and Plenty", The Realm are all original and a great demonstration of local talent and musical creation. It is a rare appearance, with local identity & spokesperson "Crusty" saying that they reserve their performances for opportunities like Reef Festival where they can display the full dynamic of their musical skills. With the roots of their music in the human condition and environment, you won't catch them playing "Brown Eyed Girl" or "Walk five hundred miles", rather listen out for their current favourite tune "Save Me" that will feature during the set.
Elsewhere on the beach will be a carnival atmosphere, licenced and unlicenced beverage sales with something for everyone. Be sure to include Airlie Beach Day & Night Chemist Fireworks and Beach Party in your festival program.
